With more and more companies purchasing portable measuring equipment for shop-floor use, the need to transfer measuring data to an SPC package has become of paramount importance. As a result, we are pleased to release our latest MSL QDAS Data Converter for use with Faro arms.

The converter software provides an easy to use link between the standard Faro Gage or CAM2 measuring software, and the automotive industry-standard SPC solution from Q-DAS GmbH. It can be used at the measuring station to transfer data "real-time" to the complete Q-DAS range of statistical software, including the class-leading procella, qs-STAT and CMM Reporting modules. Alternatively, the converter can act as a batch post-processor on a centralised PC to quickly convert multiple data files. Once transferred, measured data can be extensively analysed using the full suite of tools available from the Q-DAS product range.

Additional modules are available for the data converter, enabling data from a range of measuring products to be transferred quickly and easily to the Q-DAS products, including Metrolog XG, PC-DMIS, OGP MeasureX, Microlog XG, Mitutoyo QuickVision, etc. Bespoke converters can also be produced to suit individual needs - please contact Measurement Solutions for more information.
