CAMERA - COLLECTING

Process Quality information can come from many sources. The Q-DAS ASCII Data Standard ensures reliable data collection whether the measured values come from CMM's, digital readouts, complex gauging systems, manual data entry or legacy systems.

procella My.SPC

procella My.SPC provides a direct link to more than 150 digital, serial and multiplexer based systems for data recording. When used for manual data entry, procella My.SPC can be configured for multiple levels of operator interaction, completely controlling what is measured, how it's measured, when it's measured, where the measurement comes from, and what events, causes or corrective actions were noted during the measurement process.

Direct on-line visualisation of the measured results, including historical data, part graphics and alarm conditions result in the operator having an immediate understanding of what is going on within the process. This also provides operators with the power to be proactive participants in the process of reducing variation.

To simplify data entry, the Q-DAS Shopfloor Keyboard provides users with an easy to use entry pad. The ruggedised data entry pad consists of a standard numeric entry pad, 18 programmable function keys for direct data entry, plus an integrated mouse pad. The programmable keys can be configured to include entry of complete data strings e.g. passwords, Yes/No functionalities, navigation keys, etc. The keyboard takes the place of a standard PC keyboard and mouse, thereby removing the "PC-phobia" often encountered on shopfloor applications.

The standardised Q-DAS data format enables data transfer between a variety of measuring systems. A large number of measurement, test and assembly systems are already certified to support the Q-DAS ASCII Data Standard, and this is now becoming a demand of many major global manufacturing companies. Deployment of the standard bridges the gap between measuring systems, enabling all types of gauge system to communicate on the same data process network.
