CAMERA - EVALUATING

Significant and widely recognised evaluation methods are the basis for the evaluation procedure and continuous improvement of the production process. Only by applying these guidelines and norms can the necessary framework be created to guarantee accurate process data.

qsSTAT for Statistical Evaluation

Efficient statistical evaluation can be easily achieved with the latest version of qsSTAT, a comprehensive software package for the evaluation of quality information as well as assessment of processes and associated systems.

In order to simplify the analysis procedures, various modules are available according to the type of application. Each module incorporates the latest standards and norms of many of the World's leading manufacturing organisations, plus the latest statistical evaluation algorithms to ensure that your statistical evaluation is both accurate and valid.

Sample and Process Analysis Module

For many, statistical evaluation means process capability. However, the many standards and guidelines mean that calculating process capability accurately and correctly is not always a simple matter. Many assumptions are often made, leading to incorrect capability indices being calculated, from which incorrect decisions are made regarding the process.

With the qsSTAT Sample and Process Analysis module, process capability and systematic machine and process qualification can be easily and accurately achieved. The evaluations are based on integrated norms and standards, as well as guidelines from companies such as Ford, GM, BMW, etc. Multiple statistical procedures can be used to automatically find the best-fit distribution model and to assign the correct process models according to the latest DIN55319 or ISO 21747 standards. In this way, assumptions are no longer involved in the evaluation process.

Evaluation is completely automatic, removing the need for users to have an in depth knowledge of statistics. The emphasis is on visualisation of the process, with a multitude of intuitive, informative and revealing graphics and reporting tools, all designed to enable users to quickly "drill-down" into the process. These tools allow users to spend more time understanding the process and the influences on the process, making it possible to quickly identify critical process issues.

MSA Module

Measurement System Analysis (MSA) - Evaluation of gauging systems, both new and existing, according to the latest standards and norms. The MSA module incorporates all aspects of gauge analysis, including ;

bullet

Type 1 studies for new equipment

bullet

Type 2 studies for Repeatability and Reproducability (R&R)

bullet

Type 3 studies for in process gauging R&R assessment

bullet

Type 4 and Type 5 studies for special cases

bullet

Linearity studies for multi-purpose gauges

bullet

Stability studies for long-term suitability of gauge systems

Uncertainty analysis is also an option according to GUM and VDA requirements.

procella My.SPC

For those requiring a simple, low cost solution, procella My.SPC (see Collecting) can be supplied with a basic process capability calculation facility. This is suitable for smaller applications, where the analysis tools of qsSTAT are not considered necessary, and the user has no desire to break down the process and understand the effect of influences on the process.
